Task interest is about feelings and thoughts, something personal or situational. Important learning points here are to design open and varied tasks with a meaning, which offer the pupils opportunities to become autonomous learners.
How?
Bingel is a digital learning platform, created by the Belgian educational publisher Van In. The target audience of Bingel are pupils and teachers of Flemish primary education and can be used both in the classroom and at home.
Bingel shows a virtual world of an island with different locations. Each location represents a different learning area and can be freely used by the pupils. The program includes an exercise platform that focuses on learning analytics. In this way, they can offer tailor-made exercises.
As an additional motivation, each student can create their own avatar and earn money for each completed task. The virtual money can be used by the students to release mini-games.
